Child and Family Therapy
We provide evidence-based interventions that are tailored to your child’s unique needs.
Therapy highlights child and family strengths and teaches skills to address impairing challenges. We provide a range of services, including individual child and adolescent therapy, parent coaching, and family-based counseling.
Therapy is informed by evidence-based approaches:
Cognitive- Behavioral Therapy (CBT) focuses on teaching your child about their thoughts, emotions and behaviors. The therapist works with you and your child to challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviors and teaches personal coping strategies to achieve therapeutic goals.
Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) focuses on improving emotion regulation, mindfulness and healthy coping strategies. DBT is based on developing skills and especially effective for preteens and teens with mood regulation challenges.
Parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT) fosters positive relationship building between parent and child through parent training and live coaching. PCIT empowers parents and improves the child’s self regulation, compliance and distress tolerance.
Exposure and response prevention therapy (ERP) supports children and adolescents with anxiety and obsssesive-compulsive disorder (OCD) to reduce the impairment caused by acute fears, intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviors.
Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT) incorporates mindfulness and goal-setting based on personal values to support teens and parents in living a meaningful life.
